Marian married James LIVINGSTON of Callendar, Lord Livingston, Great Chamberlain of Scotland, son of Sir Alexander LIVINGSTON of Callendar, Justiciary of Scotland and Daughter DUNDAS.¹ (James LIVINGSTON of Callendar, Lord Livingston, Great Chamberlain of Scotland was born about 1405 and died by 7 November 1467 ¹.)

  Marriage Notes:

"His wife Marian, who survived him, has not been identified. From a claim by her to a terce of the lands of Hasilhead, 13 May 1471, it would appear that she was then the widow of a former owner of that estate. She died between 4 June and 20 October 1478, at which latter date her daughter Lady Crichton and Sir Alexander Fraser are named as her executors. In the Comptroller's accounts for the period from 24 September 1449 to 7 August 1450, credit is taken for a sum of £66, 13s. 4d. received from Thomas of Berwick for a certain compensation for James of Livingston, his son-in-law, agreed upon between the Lords of Council and the said Thomas. This Thomas was one of the custumars of Edinburgh, but whether his son-in-law was James, afterwards Lord Livingston, is not certain. The date of the payment mentioned above corresponds with the sudden fall of the Livingstons, and that is all that can be said. By his wife Marian Lord Livingston had three sons and three daughters"
