  Marriage Notes:

The marriage took place after banns according to the rites and forms of the Roman Catholic Church. The priest who married the couple was John McGinnis and the witnesses were Peter Quinlan and Mary Murray, both of whom made their X mark.

William Cook, a widower, was a soldier in the 41st Regiment. He was aged 29 years and resident in Glasgow. He made his X mark.

Mary Ann Dunn, who also signed with an X mark, was 17 years old and a single woman. Her address was noted as 3 Armour Street, and she worked as a power loom weaver. Her father was deceased.

The marriage was registered at Glasgow on 30 April 1864. 1
