  General Notes:

In 1851 the census for Cambusnethan Lanarkshire recorded a visitor at the home of Samuel and Sarah McKie called Patrick Vallily. The address for the household was simply mid-Wishaw. Patrick Vallily was recorded as aged 18 years and had been born in Ireland. His occupation then was noted as 'hawker'.

Patrick Vallely was recorded as aged 30 years in 1861, as recorded by the 1861 census for Shotts parish. He had been born in Ireland. He was lodging at 31 Omoa Square, Cleland, with Patrick and Catherine Donnally and their four children. He was an ironstone miner.

Patrick was the informant of the death of his brother Edward's wife, Ellen, in 1865. He was an iron miner at Omoa Iron Works in the parish of Shotts, and made his X mark. 1 2
